Mariah Carey Shows Off Her Baby Bump

Written by on Wednesday 30th of March 2011

Mariah Carey is due to give birth any day now, and has been showing off her baby bump on twitpic adorned with a butterfly motif! And we expect the one pink wing and one blue wing is trying to tell us something about the sex of the babies, but we shall leave that for Mariah to announce after the babies are born.

After experiencing a miscarriage two years ago, Mariah and her husband Nick Cannon have been reluctant to give away details over the pregnancy, with Mariah even being spotted in a maternity dress before the couple were happy to announce the news, but now all seems well with Mariah due to give birth.

Showing off your baby bump has always been en vogue since those pictures of Demi Moore and we should all make sure that we take photos of ourselves while we are pregnant. Though you may feel fat and unattractive as it is happening, this is a time you will never be able to repeat and it is worth having a few photos not only as a memento but also to share with your children when they are young.

But we don’t think that showing your bump in public is going to be a trend that is coming back any time soon. Though we have tried, the team at Simply Maternity could not find one maternity top that showed off your bump. As your baby grows during your pregnancy and your skin has to stretch, your skin becomes drier and weaker, and it’s resistance to sunlight can decrease. So if you are going to expose your bump make sure that your tummy is fully moisturised and that you use plenty of sun tan lotion, especially in the warmer months.
